Grace Church's GO Team, a group of leaders focused on missions, went through a year-long process with TMS Global to determine our vision for missions and the four mission partners that we currently support. The GO Team continues to lead the congregation as we discern God's will for how we serve in our community, state, nation, and internationally. We believe that we should model missions after our example, Jesus Christ, who showed us that investment in people and relationships are key in sharing the love of our God and bringing others into the Kingdom. We also believe that everything we do as a church, including how we serve, should reflect our mission and values as a Body of Christ - to Connect, Grow, and Serve.
We use Acts 1:8 as our biblical model for how we serve. Jesus tells us to go into our Jerusalem, Judea, Samaria, and to the ends of the earth. This was all prayerfully considered and discussed before discerning our 4 mission partners below.
Our Mission Partners
What does it mean to be a mission partner? As a church, we are committed to being in a relationship with our mission partners, praying for them and investing in them financially through faith promises that are made annually. Our goal is to be fully invested through our finances, our service, and our prayers.
We also have many mission friends that we will continually support. These include, but are not limited to, Cooperative Christian Ministries, the Gideons, Lifeline Christian Ministries, Gate Pregnancy Center, and GMC Missions – Western NC.
Global Impact Celebration
Each year we will hold a Global Impact Celebration which is a 5-day event in which our mission partners are with our church family. It is a time for us to celebrate what God has done throughout the year through our mission partners, as well as a time to continue building relationships with them on a personal level. The first GIC was held in November 2025, and we are planning our 2nd annual GIC for November 11-16, 2026. There will be activities for the entire church family to be together, as well as special sessions for children, youth, and adults.
